I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to speak at a Healthy Living event at our local library last night. It gave me the chance to tell a little bit of my story and the vegan life I’m living today. Not only was this an amazing opportunity to reach out to others interested in a healthier lifestyle, but it reminded me of all the reasons I went vegan in the first place.
So over the past year, there has been a lot of experimentation to find what works best for us while living a vegan lifestyle. When beginning a vegan journey the ability to eat a lot of food is something that will come up often, which is true due to the fast digestion and lack of really dense calories. You’ll also hear that this lifestyle is the best for natural, healthy weight loss ensuring the weight stays off. At the beginning this happened for Katie and I. We lost the weight, we were feeling amazing, but all the sudden things began to change.
If you’ve read Mike’s reflection you know we’ve been vegan for over a year now. It’s definitely been a bumpy ride, but it’s been worth it. There are a list of great things that have come from being vegan:
Happy New Year everyone! And with a new year marks the one year anniversary of Katie and I becoming vegan. There has been a lot of learning along with a few ups and downs on everything we can and can not have but I just want to remind everyone how amazing becoming vegan has been. Not only has it changed our lives for the better but also our relationship.
